CORTINA D' AMPEZZO - this is where the Olympic Games of 1956 took place, and Cortina D’Ampezzo is a cosy italian alpine village with luxury houses and hotels built in old genuine southern tyrolean style. It is an exclusive ski village which didn’t become less famous when many scenes from the James Bond movies where shot here. Cortina belongs to one of the largest ski paradises in the world, Dolomiti Superski- 1180 km of slopes and 464 ski-lifts.
The local area offers varied skiing on three different hillsides, everything at a height between 1224 meters above sealevel (the height of the village), and 3243 meters above sea level at Le Tofane. The Tondi de Faloria area offers red and blue slopes och from here it is easy to get to the Cristallo mountain with its highest peak at 3216 metres, you just ski along the Rio Gere. The skiing starts at 2948m, at Forcella Stauniez and on the way to San Forca you can experience a black slope. From the sports center in Cortina you take the cabinlift to reach the third ski area Tofana, with red, blue and black challenges. And if you still aren’ t satisfied with Cortina you can go to Passo Falzarego (2150 m) to take the cabin lift to the peak Lagazuoi (2750 m), the entrance to four of the twelve different ski areas that are included in the Dolomiti Superski liftcard. It is worth it to experience Sella Ronda, a 26km long ski ride around the Sella mountains, through Alta Badia, Arabba, Val di Fassa and Val Gardena.
To all of this you can also add 70 restaurants, pubs and cafés, about 200 boutiques and possibilities to go horseback riding and swimming. All of this in the same village!

LOCATION: North eastern Italy, 80 km from Bolzano, 130 km from Venice, 170 km from Innsbruck, ca. 300 km from Milan. SKI SLOPES: Cortina d' Ampezzo offers you over 140 km of pisted slopes (51 km served by atrificial snow machines) and plenty of offpist. The village is famous for having so many slopes in different categories LIFTS: 85 lifts with a total capacity of 53.000 pers/h. SKI BUS: Ski buses with regular connections between Cortina and other villages, and to the slopes. CROSS COUNTRY SKI: 130 km prepared tracks. SKI SCHOOL: Cortina has one of the best ski schools in Italy, with education in many different languages. SKI RENTAL: On location: slalom adn lenght skies, boots, staffs, snowboards. OTHER SPORT POSSIBILITIES: Ice skating, tennis courts, swimmingpool, sauna, horse stable, bobsled track. ENTERTAINMENT:resturants, pubs, patisseries, pizzerias, discotheques . Residences and apartments in a peaceful area. Residences in different sizes all with shower/wc, fully equipped kitchens, some with TV, telephone, garage (against payment). Residence Corte with apartments (2-4 persons), all with shower/wc, TV, telephone, kitchenette. Distance to lift: 6km, San Vito and 15km to the center of Cortina D'Ampezzo.
