Skiing in a tax free paradise, with elegance and alpine atmosphere!


LIVIGNO - the famous italian alpine village is also known as the little Tibet of Italy, not only because of its height (1816 m), but also because of the huge amount of snow that falls every year, and that is combinated with very low temperatures. This gives Livigno snow for about 7 months every year! When it comes to skiing you can choose between two different hillsides, Sponda and Blesaccia. They surround the 18 km long valley and the little creek Spöll. Sponda has its highest peak at 2514 m, and it is there you will find the difficult slope Direttissima, and the popular Mottolino, from where you have a great view. On the other side of the valley you find the lifts Corosello. They almost reach the highest peak at 3000 m. Here you also find the internationally approved slopes Fremminile and the difficult Zuelli, that actually is 3600 m long, and half of it passes through forest. There is over 100 km of pisted slopes, and 29 lifts. If the lift card of Livigno isn't enough for you, you should try the one of Alta Valtellina, which gives you access to slopes in Bormio, S. Caterina Valfurva and S. Colombano. In Livigno there is plenty of possibilities to try offpist skiing, and it is very popular among snowboarders and telemark skiiers. Livigno is also called Monaco di Baviera, and it is known to be a tax free paradise with old traditions in custom services. In 1600 Livigno got its religious and economic freedom. Both Napoleon, and the Austrian-Hungarian empire approved of the special regulations for Livigno, and in 1960 it was re-approved by the European Union.The shops of today are many, and here you can find merchandise from many of the famous designers. Livigno is the alpine village that surprises its visitors with all the low prices in both food and clothes. Livigno can also offer you over 50 restaurants, pubs, cafées and discotheques.

LOCATION: North central Italy, ca. 40 km from Bormio, ca. 130 km from Bolzano, ca. 190 km from Innsbruck, ca. 235 km from Milan, ca. 420 km from Venice. SKI SLOPES: Livigno offers over 100 km pist, 39 slopes (3 black, 21 red, 10 blue, 5 green).Summer skiing at the glaciere Diavollezza in Switzerland and the Stelivio-passage. LIFTS: 28 lifts with a total capacity of ca. 20.000 pers/h. SKI BUS: Yes.
CROSS COUNTRY SKI: ca. 50 km prepared lenght skiing tracks. SKI SCHOOL: Education for all category skiiers in different languages. SKI RENTAL: On location: slalom and lenght skis, boots, staffs, snowboard equipment. OTHER SPORT POSSIBILITIES: ice skating , swimming, paragliding. ENTERTAINMENT:. GARNI ITALIA **
Two star hotel with a central position in Livigno, close to lifts, ski bus, shops, entertainment and sport centers.10 rooms /beds, all rooms have shower/wc, hairdryer, telephone, TV, safety box. The hotel has a breakfastroom, bar and a parking lot.
The distance to the closest lift is 10 m, and to the bus station 50 m. Breakfast buffé. Recommended to familys with children and couples.

HOTEL GARNI LA LOCANDA ***
Three star bed and breakfast inn, located in a calm area, 2 storey building, 11 rooms, 30 beds. All rooms have shower/wc, telephone, satellite-tv, video recorder, hairdryer. 7 rooms with balcony. The hotel has a breakfast room, bar, a small taverna, a restaurant, a tv-room, sauna, parking lot and garage ( has to be payed for, 40 euro/week). Distance to the closest lift (Federia) is about 350m and in the winter you can ski to the hotel and back. To the bus station it is about 100 m, and the hotel is right next to the centre of Livigno!

HOTEL SAN CARLO ***
Three star hotel in a picturesque location. The hotel is divided into many different houses built in a Alpine design. All rooms have shower/wc, hairdryer, telephone, satellite-TV. Some have balcony. The hotel has a restaurant, a living room with TV and a bar, pool, fitness room, sauna (against a fee). The distance to the closest lift (Mottolino) is 800m. Free ski bus, with a stop just 50m from the hotel. Tessera Club, with different night activities.
