Dolomiti Superski pistmap. Click to enlarge		   VAL DI FASSA- the enchanted valley, situated in the heart of the Dolomites, and its just as fascinating today as it was hundreds of years ago. Old storys say that the village once used to be the home of fairys and witches that now have been giving their names to different peaks in the area. During the winter season Val di Fassa in transformed into an amazing ski area that is guaranteed to amaze every skiier from dawn til dusk. Val di Fassa is actually the name of seven different ski areas situated at heights between 1200 – 1900 m. Among the most famous one you find Canazei, Alba, Pozza di Fassa and San Pelegrino. Between these different areas there are regular communications with both ski buses, and public buses, and there are also great communications with larger cities like Bolzano, S. Michele and Trento. In Val di Fassa you can ski at heights up to 2958 m (Sass Pordoi), and through the passage Sella, you can reach Sella Ronda, a ski trip that is 26 km long and that takes you through four different lift systems,Val Gardena, Alta Badia, Arraba and Val di Fassa. You can either start in Canazei or in Campitello, and from there just follow the orange or green signs. Val di Fassa is a part of the Dolomiti Superski (1180 km of pisted slopes and 464 lifts). The 12 ski areas that are a part of this are: Cortina d’Ampezzo, Plan de Corones (Kronplatz), Alta Badia, Val Gardena, Val di Fassa, Arabba, Alta Posteria, Fiemme-Obereggen, S. Martino di Castrozza, Val d’Isarco, Trevali and Civetta. A separate lift card is needed to access the glaciere Marmolada (3342 m). The nightlife in Val di Fassa is very extended, and each village has its own cosy cafés, restaurants and pubs. Choose wisely! To significant lower prices you can stay in smaller villages, but still ski in the best slopes! Why not try Mazzin, Pera, Pozza di Fassa or Vigo?

VAL DI FASSA-RESORT INFORMATION
LOCATION: North eastern Italy, Trentino, ca. 120 km from Trento, ca. 40 km from Bolzano, ca. 300 km from Milan, Venice and Innsbruck.
SKI SLOPES: Val di Fassa offers over 220 km pist (81 slopes, 51 km served by 333 snow machines). Dolomiti Superski: 1180 km pisted slopes. Canazei is known as the Mecka of snowboarders, and here there is plenty of offpist possibilities. Marmolada - also summer skiing.
LIFTS: I Val di Fassa 61 liftar with a total capacity of ca 45.000 pers/h. and in the entire Dolomiti Superski there is 464 lifts.
SKI BUS: Regular connections with other ski resorts. Pozza di Fassa - Campitello and Soraga, ca. 4,5 km, to Canazei ca 8 km.
CROSS COUNTRY SKI: Over 70 km prepared tracks.
SKI SCHOOL: Education in different languages, for all category skiiers.
SKI RENTAL: On location: slalom and lenght skiing, boots, staffs and snowboard equipment. 
OTHER SPORT POSSIBILITIES: In Canazei you find swimming pools, bowling alleys, squash, ice skating, horse back riding, paragliding.
ENTERTAINMENT Most villages in Val di Fassa have their own restaurants, pubs, pizzerias. Campitello and Canazei have the best discotheques.
OTHER: The larger villages have post offices, banks, doctors, tourist information, boutiques, shopping malls, police station.

GARNI ROSEAL (Pozza di Fassa)
Garni Roseal is a very charming and fresh family owned boarding house in Pozza di Fassa, known for having good service and a nice treatment. The hotel is built in a traditional alpine style, 2 floors, 16 rooms with 48 beds. All rooms have shower & wc, telephone, satellite-TV, balcony. The boarding house has a breakfastroom, elevator, deposition possibilities, parking lot, souvenir shop. The ski bus and local buses (including the night bus) stop right next to the boarding house. In the same building you will also find a bank and numerous pubs and restaurants are close to the hotel. Distance to the centre: app. 200 m and to the closest local skilift: app. 500 m.

GARNI PATRIZZIA (Pozza di Fassa)
A small, cosy boarding house in Pozza di Fassa, 2 floors, 12 rooms with 40 beds.All rooms have shower/wc, hair dryer, telephone, TV, radio, safety box. The boarding house has a dining room, TV/living room. The ski bus stops right next to the building. 200 m to town centre.

HOTEL MONZONI *** (Pozza di Fassa)
Beautiful three star hotel, situated in central Pozza di Fassa. 3 floors, 65 rooms with 126 beds. All rooms have shower/wc, telephone, TV, some with balcony. The hotel has reception, elevator, dining room, bar, TV/living room, sauna and solarium.The hotel also has a private parking.

HOTEL CRISTALLO *** (Canazei)
Three star hotel in central Canazei, 400 m from the ski lift. All rooms have shower/bath, wc, telephone and satellite-tv. The hotels also has a dining room,a living room a reading room and a bar.

HOTEL TRENTO *** (Pozza di Fassa)
Three star hotel in Pozza di Fassa, ca. 300 m from the town centre and next to the ski bus stop. All rooms have shower/bath, wc, telephone and TV. The hotel has elevator, TV-room, a play room for the children, indoor swimming pool, sauna and solarium, private parking.

GARNI ARITZ (Campitello)
Excellent boarding house, 200 m from the cabin lift that takes you to Sella Ronda via Col Rodella. Aritz has a bar, a living room, fitness centre, jacuzzi and solarium. There is also a big garage with reserved parking spaces for the hotel guests. All rooms have shower/bath, wc, telephone, satellite-tv and hair dryer.

APPARTMENTS IN VAL DI FASSA
Several apartment alternatives in different sizes: 2-4-5-6-8 bed disposed in 1-2-3 rooms. The apartments are spread all over Val di Fassa. All apartments have shower/wc, fuly equipped kitchens, some with telephone, TV, balcony and terrace.
