| British Airways International IATA Education |
| Continent Education Centre supplies IATA education in collaboration
with British Airways/Chameleon Training & Consulting. British Airways IATA-education is recognised and approved by the IATA (International Air Transportation Association) in Geneva and IATA in different countries like England, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania. This means that every student that has passed the course will receive the International British Airways IATA-certificate. To be appointed IATA agent, which gives the right to issue the flight tickets, the Travel agencies must have 2 employers with IATA-certificate. This means that having an IATA-certificate is an important qualification for persons that are looking for an employment as a travel agent. Today, Europe tries to reach an area without borders, which means more travelling (visas will disappear) and opportunity to work in other countries (easy to get a work permission). All this will increase the demand of staff with international IATA education. As a holder of the British Airways IATA-certificate, you have all the opportunities to apply for work in your own country as well as other countries in Europe but even in other countries in the world. The philosophy of Continent Education Centre is based on three principals: knowledge, service and price-alternative. |
| KNOWLEDGE - means that all instructors employed by Continent
Education Centre have the right education and a rich experience regarding
respective teaching-area. SERVICE - means that Continent Education Centre usually provides study groups not larger than 10 - 15 students. In this way Continent Education Centre is searching quality and not quantity. Group study will be combined with individual study under assistance of a teacher. PRICE-ALTERNATIVE - means that Continent Education Centre provides different kind of products like only the IATA-course, or a package including IATA-course and accommodation. It is possible to choose between an intensive course or a distance course. |
| INTENSIVE IATA EDUCATION During a three week period the students will study the manual routine for international flight ticketing and travel planning, travel geography, destination codes, visa, luggage routines and counting of fares, etc. The study material also includes exercises regarding the booking system. Depending on the time and the local resources the teacher will take up even exercises in computer booking system. The course is divided in two parts: BA Fares & Ticketing Level I and BA Fares & Ticketing Level II. The material is divided in modules with practical examples and exercises after the end of each module. A test will be done after each part of the course. There are two tests that are included in the education and it is necessary to reach the result of minimum 85% to get the IATA-certificates. In case of failure there is a possibility to do a re-test for a charge at SEK…. and this can be done during the course period. If the student wishes to do the re-examination during another course-period, a request must be sent to Continent Education Centre minimum of 10 days before the start of the second course. In other cases please contact Continent Education Centre. Important to know! |
